Sales & Refund Policy

All sales on TheShelf are final. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that no refunds, returns, or exchanges will be issued under any circumstances, except as required by applicable law.

Due to the nature of digital goods, all purchases made on TheShelf are non-refundable and non-returnable. Once an ebook has been purchased and access has been granted, the transaction is considered complete and final.

By proceeding with a purchase on our platform, you expressly acknowledge that:

  • You have reviewed the ebook title, description, edition, format, and preview (where available) before purchasing.
  • Digital products cannot be "returned" in the way physical goods can, as access to the content is granted immediately upon payment.
  • No refunds will be issued for change of mind, accidental purchases, or dissatisfaction with the content.
  • No refunds will be issued for gift cards or store credit.
  • No exchanges will be offered for a different title, edition, or format.

Technical Issues

While all sales are final, we are committed to ensuring every customer receives a functional product. If you experience a verifiable technical issue with your purchase — such as a corrupted file, a failed download, or content that is materially different from its description — please contact us at fammassamba@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase.

In such cases, we will first attempt to resolve the issue by providing a corrected file or restoring access. Any resolution is offered at our sole discretion and does not constitute a general right to a refund.

European Union — Digital Content Exception

If you are purchasing from within the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, by completing your purchase and gaining immediate access to the ebook download, you expressly request immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the download has commenced, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

If you have not yet downloaded or accessed the ebook, you may contact us at fammassamba@gmail.com to exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days of purchase.

Before You Buy

We strongly encourage all customers to make use of the following before completing a purchase:

  • Read the full ebook description, including genre, length, format, and edition details.
  • Preview available sample chapters or excerpts where offered.
  • Verify that the ebook format is compatible with your device or reading application.
  • Contact us at fammassamba@gmail.com with any questions about a title before purchasing.

We want you to love every book you buy. If you have any questions about a title before purchasing, we are always happy to help — reach out before you buy.
